Honestly, many American movies in the 80's particularly had different certifications when shown in Europe. Most scenes like these were cut/censored/ when shown in America (even though it was an American movie) but in countries like Italy, France, Netherlands...nudity in movies were often overlooked for cinema release.
ReplyDeleteI saw this movie at the cinema in Italy then & the duration of the shower scene was much longer. On this segment (above), we could see the smoking heat covering Gere's body when he is dancing/singing in the shower but watch the Italian DVD release of this same movie, you'll be surprised of what you can CLEARLY see in there !
Same goes with many movies on here !
Though dubbed in Italian or French, but the scenes are 'better' for us who're interested...(chuckle !)
